Interview AI Guidelines
These guidelines define the responsible workflow for using AI-generated response suggestions before, during, and after interviews.
Before the round
Review the interviewer, employer, assessment, and meeting-platform rules that apply to your interview. If AI assistance is not clearly permitted, use Sottos for preparation, mock rounds, and post-round review instead of live assistance.
During permitted live use
Use Sottos as structured answer support: restate the question, organize facts, compare tradeoffs, and prepare follow-up points. Adapt suggestions in your own words and correct anything that does not match your background or the prompt.
Technical work
When working through technical questions, explain your reasoning, confirm assumptions, and verify any suggested approach before submitting or presenting it. Do not claim experience, code, or credentials you do not have.
Disclosure
If an interviewer or organization asks about AI assistance, answer honestly. Their rules control whether live AI support is allowed in that setting.
After the round
Use Sottos to review what went well, identify weak answers, and prepare stronger follow-ups for future conversations.
